My Gator Encounter!!!

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!! Gator!!!!!!!!!!

I put my paw in the gator’s mouth!

Well………. not really………..

Duffy the Disney Bear says hello to the Alligator!

Ouch! You got some pretty sharp teeth Mr. Alligator!

This is my first alligator. I didn’t know what animal it was when I saw the photograph on the wall at the gallery. I just saw his happy smile and wanted to make friends with him.

I’m a beary curious bear.

Well, really… what it is … is….. is that I get bored when the humans start gibber gabbering at each other.

I need action!

Action with a capital ‘A’.

So while the humans were trying to decide if this was an alligator or a crocodile, I just went up and said…….

The gator didn’t say much.

…Hummm…??? Now that I think of it… he didn’t get to say anything at all before I was quickly taken away from him. (I learned later that pictures on the wall don’t normally talk like they can at Disney.)

Anyways, when I got home, I googled alligators and crocodiles. (Googling is the easiest way to teach humans what they don’t know) …….and found this neat link. Alligator vs Crocodile.

I learned that gators can hold their breath for up to an hour under water! …and they like to swallow their food whole even though they have all those sharp teeth.

If I went underwater I would drown because I’m filled with stuffing.

Some humans say that if you see a gator, you should run in a zig-zag. … or was that zag-zig? Nope, it was zig-zag. Either way, zig-zag or zag-zig – Don’t do it!

That’s like NOT right at all!

The gator will catch you and swallow you whole! That’s because the gator’s eyes are on the side of his head. So he’ll see your zigging and zagging…… …or, …….. zagging and zigging…. You got to run straight a head and as fast as you can! And that’s the story of my very beary first ever Gator Encounter!

Bearily yours,

Duffy Bear

Cute! Did you go to Gator Land?

    • Duffy Bear says:

Naw.. not yet. 🙁 My mommy said she’s been to GatorLand. She’s also been to Jungle Adventures a few times too.

She said they have really big scary gators at those attractions. I really wanna go, but she thinks the gators might think I’m food and try to eat me!

I get her to change her mind one day and take me!

  2. Danielle says:

U should go!!! I’ve been there like a billion times! It’s awesome!

  3. Danielle says:

When is the next time you are going to Disney World?

    • Duffy Bear says:

I’m suppose to go on Tuesday. Mommy had plans to go to Hollywood Studios. But then she found out that the last day for the Magic Memories and You at the Magic Kingdom is on September 3rd, so we might go there instead.

  4. Danielle says:

That’s cool. Hope you have a blast!

Oh Wow, those are some interesting facts! You’re beary clever Duffy <3 You're all knowledgeable about Alligators and cuteness! In 2011 my Family and I went on an airboat tour while we were in Orlando, and an alligator jumped right up in the air! It was really fun because I went fishing for the first time ever! I didn't catch anything, but it was super fun!

    • Duffy Bear says:

OMG! The alligator jumped right up into the air! That’s crazy! The alligators I saw at Jungle Adventure here in Christmas, Florida are all to fat to jump out of the water at people. … Only, now I remember the guy making some of the alligators jump for their food.

It sounds like your family does lots of super cool fun stuff!

  6. DuffyBringsLove says:

I was the only one that saw it, too! It’s called ‘Spirit of the swamp’ tour, and it was beary noisy!
We do do a lot of fun stuff, but you have much more fun and adventures than I do!
Aha, that’s funny! Do you like Kilimanjaro safaris? They have alligators and hippopotamus there!

    • Duffy Bear says:

It would have been so cool if you had gotten a video or something of that gator. Did they hear him splash in the water? how big was the gator?

Kilimanjaro safari is Safari-tacualar! I wanna go on the special tour to see the animals closer.

  7. It would! Everyone heard a splash, and it was only a baby alligator, but it was quite big! I got a Keyring of Hello Kitty dressed as one that said ‘Florida’ last year from Mitsukoshi at the Japanese Pavilion in Epcot. It is my favourite store there.
I heard about those tours. I really wanna go on one!

Did you see the baby alligators in Living in the Land. I like that ride. I like looking at all the growing food! The 9 pound lemons are really neat too.

We saw some neat Hello Kitty toys at McDonald’s tonight. I took a picture and sent it to my Auntie Cee. She wants them all! We are going back tomorrow morning to see if we can get them for her.

Hey! I don’t think mommy took me to that store yet? Actually, I can’t remember…. Oh, wait, I’m sure we did. We’ll have to go in next time.
